As part of your comprehensive Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and Mental Health Program, all members and household dependents have access up to 3 in person or virtual short-term counseling sessions per issue.

How to Request Counseling

When speaking with an Uprise Health intake specialist, they will collect basic demographic information, and will warm transfer the caller to one of our staff clinicians for assessment and support. If a member calls and they are in crisis, they will be connected immediately with a master’s-level clinician for triage, stabilization, and additional support.

To request counseling, please call: 800-386-7055.

Coaching vs. Counseling

Coaching sessions are 30-minutes via phone or video with a licensed coach. Focus is on developing skills to learn how to cope, feel better and manage stress. Sessions can also be focused on a specific topic such as sleep, productivity, addiction, pain, or mindfulness. You can choose and schedule your coach based on your preferences. Learn more about coaching to see if this is good option for you.

Counseling sessions are via phone, video or in-person with a masters-level or PhD clinician. Sessions are focused on higher level mental health needs such as anxiety, grief, or stress. Our care team will provide a list of providers based on your needs and preferences. You can schedule an appointment for yourself based on your needs and availability.
